About Me

Jerick Tatarian

Jerick Tatarian is a Choctaw/Armenian film & media composer whose music seeks to tell stories that words cannot. Based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his scores have accompanied award-winning films, including works honored as Best Tennessee Student Short at Nashville Film Fest and Best Short Film at Women’s Film Festival.

Rooted in a deep love for the collaborative spirit of filmmaking, Jerick finds endless inspiration in the creative synergy between directors, editors, sound designers, and actors. His musical language draws from the timeless influence of cinema’s great composers—John Williams, Bernard Herrmann, Max Steiner, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, and others whose work shaped the very soul of film music. Jerick’s music blends classic film scoring traditions with his own creative voice, always in service of the story.

A classically trained pianist and organist, Jerick holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Oklahoma City University and is currently pursuing his Master of Music in Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. His foundation in classical performance and theory informs his versatile scoring approach, blending tradition with contemporary storytelling.
